Svein Tuft is riding his 14th season as a professional cyclist with Rally-UHC. Living in Andorra, Tuft continues to challenge the mould of strictly regimented pro cyclists. Instead of regimented training, Tuft works with a dynamic fitness routine that takes advantage of the mountainous Pyrenees environment he lives in. He doesn’t just ride bikes but finds a balance between outdoor activities he can do out of his front foor in his adopted mountaneous home.

“It’s more that I am trying to beat myself. Push myself with something I really like to do and that whole competitive aspect of myself against myself, I was able to adapt it for what I was going to do in the sport,” Tuft says about his motivation during his cycling career.

The Langley, B.C. native is 42-years-old now and continues to race proffesionally with the Rally-UHC team after a successful eight year tenure at the WorldTour level with Mitchelton-Scott.

“My reason to ride is really the freedom it allows me. It’s my meditation,” says Tuft in I love racing but riding my bike and exploring, I want to do that until I die.”
