What does it take to win a race like Dirty Kanza?
Amity Rockwell, winner of the 200 mile gravel race in 2019, thinks it takes more than just a strong set of legs. The ability to deal with the unexpected is key. And, maybe, a bit of stubborness.
The Easton Overland rider dives into her Kanza success in Headstrong the latest Rollout video. Rockwell was in Vancouver, B.C. exploring the west coast’s Sea to Sky trail, and took the time to slow down and enjoy the city at a more casual pace.
Rockwell also describes and explains her unorthodox path to professional cycling. Like many emerging gravel talents, the American hasn’t followed a straightforward or traditional route into high level cycling.
